RESEARCH:
The core research interest is to develop transducer platforms that rationally combine dissimilar material components with complementary properties. In particular, we are employing (i) nanocatalysis for more controllable 1D nanomaterial synthesis and (ii) molecular engineering of polymer systems to promote engineered properties.A three-pronged interdisciplinary approach, molecular design, synthesis and characterization, is being undertaken to acquire fundamental knowledge as well as to create high performance devices for energy and life science applications.
